Erm, that's not it. You spelled 'weird' incorrectly and that will incur the wrath of She Who Must Be Obeyed :?

I wouldn't like to be in your shoes when she sees this...

Oops.
I meant weird, thats weird where the I is not before the E.
Weird, weird, weird.
Now I won't forget.
Who is she who must be obeyed?
I think I know, because of the signature.
Well, they say that you can learn something new every day. Today I learned how to spell 'weird'. Weired that I never knew before.

I never notice that kind of thing. I'm going to have to train myself to be more observant.

Yes!
April 31st. That's weird is'nt it.
Assuming that Lyra's year is the same length as ours there must be at least one other month that is different also (eg. 30 days in August).
If that was the case, and Lyra's midsummers day was June 24th, St. John's day, same as ours then she would be going to the bench the day after Will. :(
Of course if the misallignment of the calenders was corrected before June 24 then it would be ok.

Stuff to Marvel- I love the fact that a book called A Prisoner of the Bears by Prof Jotham Santelia is mentioned, and directly underneath, the man he hates, Prof Trelawney with Fraud: An Exposure of a Scientific Imposture. Marvellous stuff!
