Fans anxiously waiting for news can now look forward to screening the recent film adaptation of Philip Pullman’s The Butterfly Tattoo. The winner of several awards at film festivals in both America and Europe will be distributed by indie distributors ITN and Cinema Epoch to cinemas and on DVD in the American box office in 2009. ITN has also licensed the film for distribution in Russia, the Middle East, and Benelux, and will further present the film at festivals to other international distributors. Release dates to follow. (can’t wait!)
For more information, visit the film’s official website or Facebook fanpage.
I can’t wait to see it on DVD here in the US.
Interestingly, there is a jigsaw puzzle on Jigzone.com today (2/5/09) that is a bear crossing sign with a polar bear walking and and a warning below in some language, the bottom lione being “Svalbard”.
Well, Svalbard is a real place… The language is probably Norwegian.
I’m looking forward to seeing the movie as well! (Might want to read the book first, eh?)

Cute pic of Dakota. Will have to go see the Moonacre movie. Glad to see that she is making more movies – I liked her as Lyra.
