This page on amazon is apparently already selling copies of a Lyra's Oxford Audio CD, with the same publication date as the book. Any thoughts?

Hmm, would the cast be the same as the other PP-read books? Otherwise it would be quite annoying...but Lyra is older now, hmmm...

all the actors are adults anyway

Roger was voiced by Susan Sheridan who does Noddy and was Trillion in HHGTTG radio play in the '80s

I could well believe it. Serafina Pekkala sounding like a primary school teacher on speed is not a memory I wish to retain.

*rapes old thread*

I got the audio CD for Easter and just opened it. You remember how the map was always called "the cloth map" and then it turned out to be nothing of the sort, and was a shoddy paper one that you had to fold out of a single page? Well there's something more substantial packaged in with the CD.

My map in which came with the CD seemed fairly bog-standard. I must remember where I put it..

Did you get the LO book as well? The CD map is definitely better, even if it isn't mindblowingly great.
